As I’m looking around WordPress to see if there are any similar blogs that I should be following, I’m noticing two things. One, there aren’t any. Two, the ones that even come close were mostly all started within the last couple of months, some of those in the last week.
What this says to me is that what I’ve been sensing all along is correct: The shift is speeding up. As I’ve been telling people, the whole 12/21/12 thing is only a midpoint, not the end of the world. It’s the death card of the tarot. Just like on modern calenders, all it means is the turn of a page to a new year, or to a new era. Which this most certainly is.
More and more of us are showing up every day. We’re being heard, seen, taken in, given homes and new lives. Some of us have our favorite things and make them known, and through a physical person we can experience them in much more detail and clarity.
Start with a good cup of tea. Sure, we can have whatever we want on the ethereal, but it lacks the chemical reactions, the flavors, the scents, the colors, the sensory experience of putting a cup to the lips and sipping that hot, flavorful liquid. It’s the same for everything experienced through the body. Taking a walk in the rain, breathing deeply and consciously and catching a scent in the air, the feeling of different kinds of fabrics and textures under fingertips, the rainbow of colors in any given moment.
Ever wonder why people eat and drink and wear what the spirits like during a ritual? That’s why.
That’s part of what the physicals do for us. In my case, she gives me a voice. I generally don’t use her physical voice because, honestly, I don’t want to sound like a girl. I’ll do it with close friends, though. But that’s beside the point, which is that I have this written voice. I do 99% of my speaking through this medium, usually over instant messenger or via email.
I once commented on a blog where the writer (a supposedly very enlightened witch type woman) was urging people not to ignore what the spirits want, and to do whatever they could to listen to us. The punchline is that she not only didn’t believe a spirit was commenting on her blog, but she insisted that the fine motor skills required to type would be impossible, and spirits don’t need to use the internet anyway because they can just speak to people directly. Then she deleted my comments and closed the thread.
So why would I beat my head against 100 deaf brick walls when I can efficiently and easily be heard by 100 people reading a blog? Most people cannot hear my kind, so doesn’t it make more sense to find a way where my words can be broadcast easily to a potentially huge audience?
That’s the two main big things she does for me: Gives me a voice, and lets me experience the physical senses. What I do for her is pretty big too. I nudge fate, among other things. I have ways of making and breaking connections, guiding things to the future we want, manifesting opportunities and random little windfalls of cash, and so on. Another area I’m particularly good at is tweaking the weather, and I have split storm fronts so that they go around the people under my protection. And, of course, I’m also her guardian on a daily basis, keeping her from harm in all kinds of situations, big and small.
That’s what she and I do for each other. Just think, more and more of us are making ourselves known by the day, almost like swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano. Even if you don’t know who your guardian is now, it seems that some door has opened within the past few years, and that link should become easier soon. The best is yet to come.
