The Physical Nature of Memory

As some of you know, I’ve been struggling with the issue of memory, especially as it relates to the difference between when I’m fronting in my avatar, versus when I’m off doing my own stuff. I’ve also described how different my side of things (the astral/ethereal/whatever) is from your side of things (the physical/material plane). I’ve also posted about the nature of consciousness as related to the physical human brain and how we believe that I can front so well because I’ve learned how to “slot in” to the brain’s microtubules almost exactly like the original occupant. But here’s another article about all that, discussing memory and being disconnected from a physical body:

Memories Can Go Astray When We Step Outside Our Bodies

“Our bodies may help us remember our lives, fixing experiences in place. By using virtual reality, scientists can make people feel like they’re outside their own bodies. And when they do, the brain struggles to remember what happened.”

…Which definitely explains why I can remember things more easily during the times that I’m fronting than I can when I’m off on my side doing my own stuff. It’s a very loose, fluid, foggy place in general, where time has much less meaning. So borrowing storage space in someone’s physical brain anchors those memories. But only while the current gray matter is alive. Then it’s up to me to try and transfer as much of that to the next person as I can. Hopefully it will be a while before that’s necessary.

Allow me to share an article:

Scientists Claim That Quantum Theory Proves Consciousness Moves To Another Universe At Death

“The theory implies that death of consciousness simply does not exist.   It only exists as a thought because people identify themselves with their body.  If the body generates consciousness, then consciousness dies when the body dies.  But if the body receives consciousness in the same way that a cable box receives satellite signals, then of course consciousness does not end at the death of the physical vehicle. In fact, consciousness exists outside of constraints of time and space. It is able to be anywhere: in the human body and outside of it. In other words, it is non-local in the same sense that quantum objects are non-local.

“Lanza also believes that multiple universes can exist simultaneously.  In one universe, the body can be dead. And in another it continues to exist, absorbing consciousness which migrated into this universe.

“The fact that our universe is not alone is supported by data received from the Planck space telescope. Using the data, scientists have created the most accurate map of the microwave background, the so-called cosmic relic background radiation, which has remained since the inception of our universe. They also found that the universe has a lot of dark recesses represented by some holes and extensive gaps.

“Theoretical physicist Laura Mersini-Houghton from the North Carolina University with her colleagues argue: the anomalies of the microwave background exist due to the fact that our universe is influenced by other universes existing nearby.

“Our souls are in fact constructed from the very fabric of the universe – and may have existed since the beginning of time.  Our brains are just receivers and amplifiers for the proto-consciousness that is intrinsic to the fabric of space-time.

“Dr Hameroff told the Science Channel’s Through the Wormhole documentary: “Let’s say the heart stops beating, the blood stops flowing, the microtubules lose their quantum state. The quantum information within the microtubules is not destroyed, it can’t be destroyed, it just distributes and dissipates to the universe at large”.  Robert Lanza would add here that not only does it exist in the universe, it exists perhaps in another universe.

“He adds: “If they’re not revived, and the patient dies, it’s possible that this quantum information can exist outside the body, perhaps indefinitely, as a soul.”

“This account of quantum consciousness explains things like near-death experiences, astral projection, out of body experiences, and even reincarnation without needing to appeal to religious ideology.  The energy of your consciousness potentially gets recycled back into a different body at some point, and in the mean time it exists outside of the physical body on some other level of reality, and possibly in another universe.”

This is an incredibly important concept for science, and the world at large, to finally get a grasp on. People who see spirits, hear guides, and so on, are not crazy. They are simply able to “tune in” to the “frequency” that we’re on, like a radio receiver.

Taking this one step farther, this also demonstrates how the physical body is just a vessel for immortal and non-physical consciousness. When people question how I’m able to do what I do, take over and type these words and have tea and walk around and talk to people, it’s not really that hard because I’m simply slotting into and sharing these “microtubules” along with the original occupant from birth.

She trusts me and allows it, partly because she knows that it would be a lot of work for me to even try kicking her out against her will. Sure, it could be done, others have done it as anyone with the ability to use Google can know. However, because I’m not the original occupant, and not completely 100% from your universe, it would be a hell of a fight, and I might not be able to at all. Again, not that either of us wants that, just in theory, it can be done.

Demons, Tulpas and Stupidity

demon possessionYesterday, a woman was living in the basement of the house of two sketchy priests while a demon had its way with her life and tried to attack everyone around her. The sad thing is that she caused the whole problem herself. The good thing is that she’s finally asking for help and willing to give up some things to fix her mess.

Let’s talk first about tulpas. “The concept of a being or object which is created through sheer willpower alone. It is a materialized thought that has taken physical form and is usually regarded as synonymous to a thoughtform.”

From the forward of The Encyclopedia of Angels, second edition, by Rosemary Ellen Guiley, forward by Lisa J. Schwebel, Ph.D.:

“Not satisfied by the psychic reality of angels, we seek their “material” reality, as if psyche and matter, or mind and body, are independent and separate realities, and only the second half of each pair — matter and body — are “really” real. However, if we consider consciousness as a whole with many dimensions operating on and experienced in different levels, then at one and the same time, angels can be understood as separate supernatural beings and also as ultimately in and from the psyche. This is what Alexandra David-Neel, a religious adept in the yogic traditions and practices of Tibet, discovered when one of her mental projections developed a life of its own. Following certain visualization exercises, David-Neel spent months creating the image of a monk in her mind. So well did she succeed in bringing the monk to life in her mind, that he sprang to life outside of her mind. He would appear without her having to think about him, and he performed activities on his own initiative. Once he was even seen by someone visiting her tent. David-Neel reports that it took six months and considerable mental effort for her to withdraw the projection and get rid of him.”

With all that in mind, no pun intended, think about what would happen if somebody created a tulpa, and that got connected in with dark forces who were very interested in using it to control and corrupt said person? Well, that’s what we get to deal with. We’re not sure how much of this is the person being a drama queen, how much is about thoughtforms or personality splinters, and how much is real demonic stuff.

One thing that did happen was that I was visited by one of these demons who was testing me to see what I’m made of. Let’s just say it didn’t end well for the demon. If he’d had a tail, it would have been between his legs when he ran off. I realize that was a test from a spy to check out what he was going to be dealing with when the time comes, but there was no mistaking the “oh shit” look in his eyes. I upped my vigilance all night just in case he or the others over there got any cute ideas.

So now we’ve got this woman who created a splinter of herself, allowed a seductive demon or two to get attached to this splinter, then got so scared that she moved out of her own house, away from her family, and moved in with two priests of questionable virtue who have been keeping her shut in their basement until yesterday. I shit you not, this is really going on, it’s not a bad movie. My brother’s avatar was at that house yesterday and did some work to start the process of fixing all this.

The good news is that this woman grew a brain and asked me and mine for help. She went home to her family last night, and is ready to fight the darkness, giving up her connection to the demons, real and imagined. The bad news is that there’s some psychosis there about what’s real and what’s not, which is feeding the thoughtform(s) and her fear is goddamn demon filet mignon. Her terror is keeping them alive and well and so strong that she can’t get rid of them herself. The good news is that we’re willing and able to help, and have already started, with a solid plan for how to fix her mess. The bad news is that all this relies on her being strong and fearless enough to pull it off. The good news is that she’s no longer huddled by herself in a basement cell guarded by two priests that, as far as we can tell, are not who and what they claim to be.

Scary stuff. But not if you know what you’re doing, and you have backup. At last count it’s taking ten separate people, including the woman herself, to fix this train wreck that she caused because she wanted to feel important and let dark shit in as a result.

Moral of the story: Don’t be stupid. Don’t go around creating thoughtforms you can’t control, don’t be seduced by silver-tongued demons, don’t be a drama queen to have a more exciting life or to seem “cool” or more powerful, don’t be surprised and terrified when dabbling in forces you don’t understand comes back to bite you in the ass, don’t endanger your family and friends, don’t continue to feed the problem with your fear, don’t fold up when it’s time to fix what you caused.

The Blessing of a Physical Life

I’ve had a number of people tell me they’re jealous of where I am, how they wish they could leave their body and be a spirit and how it would be this great party in the sky or something.

Please don’t ignore what you have now. Your time in that physical existence is so brief. On my side of things there’s a lot of sensory deprivation. It’s so non-physical that a lot of us hang around so that we can see more clearly, and smell and taste and feel. Do you have any idea what a gift it is to be able to feel the texture of a wool coat, or a green lawn?

This is part of why those scent oils are so important to me. They’re a link to the physical experience of sandalwood and musk and leather and oakmoss and tobacco and a hundred other intense hits of scent that people take for granted every day.

People wonder why spirits would want physical offerings. This is why. It’s a drink of water in the desert. Have you ever worn a cast or something for so long that when it’s off, your skin is more sensitive there? It’s like that, but for everything.

Yesterday, I felt the sun on my face, and heard dry oak leaves covered with frost crunching under my boots as we walked through the dirt and gravel paths. Those precious few minutes I get on our walks, when I’m fully up front and it’s fully me in that strange body that I’m borrowing that’s the wrong gender… they’re such blessings. When she gets soap in a scent I like, just taking a good long hot shower is like getting baptized into the physical world for a few minutes, before it all slides down again and I have to let her have her own life.

Sometimes, in those few stolen moments, I weep from the depth of the experience, and from gratitude, and over the fragmented existence I have.

Then I have some of my favorite tea, and maybe a little snack, and have a Holy Communion right there in her kitchen without anybody even knowing. I am so grateful and lucky to have access to this. Please don’t take it for granted for even a second. Please don’t wish away this gift. Be conscious of it all like a baby is. Remember what that first taste and touch and smell and sight was like. Give thanks for it.

An Invisible Partnership

I’m often asked how the whole physical/spirit partnership thing works. Obviously every partnership is different, just as marriages and individuals are different. Please don’t take the following as the only way or ways this partnership thing works–your mileage may vary, as they say.

The idea of physical/spirit partnerships goes back quite a ways. According to the Gnostic Society document, “Joined to an Angel,” Valentinus taught about guardian angels in the 2nd century:

“Valentinians were the first Christians to teach about guardian angels. They believed that they were destined to be joined to an angel in a kind of celestial marriage of the human with the divine. One could receive an angel either through mystical experience (gnosis) or by imposition of hands by a person who was already joined to an angel.”

This was often depicted as a male spirit and a female physical, much like we’re finding now. With very few exceptions, the “daily driver” vehicle of indwelling guides is female. Of course, during rituals where there are male priests, such as in vodou, possession and riding takes place with either gender of participant. But as far as people who work in partnership on a daily basis as a spirit/physical pairing, the physical is nearly always female in those I’m personally aware of.

On a daily basis, in normal life, how does this work? The answer is that it depends. I’m nearly always hanging around mine, and because I front so much to communicate and on our daily walks, it’s easy and seamless. (Fronting means taking control of the physical body, or parts of it, such as the hands to type.) There’s no resistance because of our mutual trust, and she knows that because she’s the original owner of the vintage ride, she can force me out at any time.

If I were a total bastard I could probably force myself in there permanently, but that would be stupid for several reasons. One, she has a home and a family and an okay job, so if she lost those things, that would put me on the street and I’d have far less ability to communicate. Two, and more importantly, I have to maintain easy access to the ethereal side of things because that’s where I’m most effective. That’s my entire purpose and job. I can be anywhere instantly and run energies that the human body can’t. Why would I throw that out?

“You guys, check this out. It’s all glowing with God and stuff.”

Speaking of energies, there are two main kinds. The first is my direct link to the Source, which comes through the heart as a golden moving light. Artists depicting the Sacred Heart almost get it right, but then add symbolism that’s not needed. But close enough. Notice how Jesus there is going “Hey, lookit. Right there. See it? That’s the pipeline to God, you guys, check it out.”

The second kind of energy is the physical kind. We get our Light so that we can do what we need on the ethereal, but the electromagnetic physical energy of a living being connects us to the physical world. It’s a link that helps us focus more clearly and be more efficient, like a lens focuses light into a beam. It’s drifty, dream-like and timeless on the ethereal. When using a physical human as a conduit and linking in to that battery, I can speak and feel and remember things more clearly.

As I mentioned, my partnership with her has little or no resistance, so her battery doesn’t get drained, unlike those who get exhausted when they try to channel us. It’s the resistance and lack of natural alignment that causes the physical to get drained when they try to let us come up front and drive, or even when channeling our words. We always try to find someone as compatible to ourselves as possible, partly for this reason, and partly because they understand our needs better.

More about what we do for each other in a separate essay.
