Quantum Science, Your Brain, and Us

This one covers a lot of topics to do with quantum theory and human consciousness and how they interact, but more importantly, how we interact with you:

The Strange Link Between the Human Mind and Quantum Physics

Quantum mechanics is the best theory we have for describing the world at the nuts-and-bolts level of atoms and subatomic particles. Perhaps the most renowned of its mysteries is the fact that the outcome of a quantum experiment can change depending on whether or not we choose to measure some property of the particles involved.

When this “observer effect” was first noticed by the early pioneers of quantum theory, they were deeply troubled. It seemed to undermine the basic assumption behind all science: that there is an objective world out there, irrespective of us. If the way the world behaves depends on how – or if – we look at it, what can “reality” really mean?

That’s what Schrodinger’s Cat is about. It’s both alive and dead until a person observes its state. Of course, this is a macrocosm example, because the cat itself knows if it’s alive or dead. Cats don’t need people to tell them. But it’s the kind of example people need in order to understand what happens at the quantum microcosm level, which is a whole other situation.

Today some physicists suspect that, whether or not consciousness influences quantum mechanics, it might in fact arise because of it. They think that quantum theory might be needed to fully understand how the brain works.

Here’s where the article starts to get really interesting and isn’t the same old thing about dead/alive cats. It’s turning the theory back on itself, or on its head, or whatever. You get the idea.

The article then talks about the “slit experiment” with light photons and observations and measurements affecting the outcome. But then…

Wheeler even entertained the thought that the presence of living beings, which are capable of “noticing”, has transformed what was previously a multitude of possible quantum pasts into one concrete history. In this sense, Wheeler said, we become participants in the evolution of the Universe since its very beginning. In his words, we live in a “participatory universe.”

Now you’re reading more closely, right? Right. Now we’re getting into where people are affecting how the universe is created and plays out, and not just through conscious (or even unconscious) choices. Simply observing the world around you alters things at the quantum level.

Now imagine if you could control this. Some of us can, as I’ve talked about here before. But I digress. Back to the article:

What if, Penrose asked, there are molecular structures in our brains that are able to alter their state in response to a single quantum event. Could not these structures then adopt a superposition state, just like the particles in the double slit experiment? And might those quantum superpositions then show up in the ways neurons are triggered to communicate via electrical signals?

Maybe, says Penrose, our ability to sustain seemingly incompatible mental states is no quirk of perception, but a real quantum effect.

These structures are called microtubules. They’re real and they exist inside you right now. There’s even a photo of them in the article I’m quoting here. I posted a link to an article here a while back talking about these things, and how they could be what contains consciousness when it’s inside a meat suit. Hello, let me just borrow some of your microtubules for a few minutes so I can type. That kind of thing. But anyway…

Pay close attention to this next part:

Put another way, entangled states are really superposition states involving more than one quantum particle.

Okay. If you’ve read other articles about quantum entanglement, they talk about how two particles can affect each other even though they’re nowhere near each other. I’ve also talked about how parallel universes overlap, which is how I’m able to talk to you here. But this takes it a little farther into explaining how they can overlap, for you people out there who need hard science to explain all this. The superposition state at the quantum level.

But wait, there’s more. It also explains how some of you can not only hear us, but how you can interact with us, and let us front, beyond (or maybe in addition to) the microtubule theory.

The article talks about a particular kind of phosphorus atom and Polsner molecules, then:

In Posner molecules, Fisher argues, phosphorus spins could resist decoherence for a day or so, even in living cells. That means they could influence how the brain works.

Because of entanglement in Posner molecules, two such signals might thus in turn become entangled: a kind of quantum superposition of a “thought”, you might say.

…You might say.

There’s some other cool stuff in there that I’ll let you explore on your own. I’d love to hear what you think. Post a comment.

Schrodinger’s Atoms

New experiments from Cornell University physicists are showing that atoms won’t move while you watch, sort of like the “weeping angels” on Doctor Who.

One of the oddest predictions of quantum theory – that a system can’t change while you’re watching it – has been confirmed in an experiment by Cornell physicists. Their work opens the door to a fundamentally new method to control and manipulate the quantum states of atoms and could lead to new kinds of sensors.

The researchers demonstrated that they were able to suppress quantum tunneling merely by observing the atoms. [T]he weird nature of quantum measurements allows, in principle, for a quantum system to be “frozen” by repeated measurements.

There’s a bunch of detailed information on  how they did the experiments at the link.

What I’m wondering about is, naturally, how to use this for practical applications. If atoms are doing weird shit behind your back, then “freeze” into position when you observe them, like the weeping angels, or like the toys on Toy Story, you can really only measure their actions by the resulting frozen position. What they do behind your back, you can only guess at, but the interesting fact remains that they ARE doing shifty things when you’re not looking.

If the tree falls in the forest, and there’s nobody around to hear it, does it make a sound? Science says yes, the sound waves are still produced, so technically it does create sound even if no eardrums are in the vicinity. But maybe the tree never fell in the first place. Or maybe the tree is the observer. Or insects, or fungus. It doesn’t have to be human observation.

But, back to the practical application of Schrodinger’s atoms. If something is that unstable, it’s easy to manipulate. That means you can set things into motion, then turn your back to make it happen on its own, pushed by what you did, in the direction you want.

Let’s pretend we’re talking about water instead of atoms. And let’s say that when you look at the water, it’s always ice, but you know that when you turn your back on it, the water is liquid. So, you put a toy boat on top of the ice, and point a fan at the boat. You turn your back, wait a bit, then turn around to see what happened. The boat is now far away from the fan and stuck inside the ice. You try to move the boat, but no, it’s frozen in place. However, it went in the direction you wanted it to go.

This is just what the atoms are doing, and how you can use their instability to your advantage. Think about how everything in the physical world is connected. Even in outer space, debris and radiation are coming in, while gasses and human-created junk and ships are going out. The air you’re breathing right now might have been some of the same molecules that came from inside the earth’s crust a thousand years ago, or that came out of Tut’s tomb, or that used to be part of a dinosaur’s body.

Atoms make up everything in the physical world. If you can push them, shape them, nudge them, you can change the physical world around you. And, as Schrodinger taught, your very presence and thoughts change what those atoms are doing at any given moment.

See where I’m going with this? Focus on what you’re trying to push, set down your boat, then turn your back and walk away. Then tomorrow do it again. And again, and again. Every time you go back to check on it, you’ll see a frozen snapshot, but it will show you if you’re getting closer to your goal, or if you need to adjust your steering. But if you do it too much, or observe it constantly, boat will remain frozen and motionless and never get there.

That’s my theory, anyway. Let me know if this works for you.

So Where Do We Go From Here?

I see some people changing in good ways. Some people changing in destructive ways. Some people not changing at all, but some of them think they are. They’re just taking other streets, thinking it’s change, but they’re only looking at different scenery from the same old car.

I wish I could tell you what I’ve been able to accomplish in the past year. I have, with the help of friends, and maybe a few strangers, steered things into what amounts to a miracle. The list of people who have gotten to the place where my avatar has is very short. The journey isn’t over yet, there’s still one more key thing to get into place, but somehow many odds have been beaten and seemingly impossible hurdles overcome.

Somehow? Did I say somehow? That’s a lie. I know exactly how. Through a shitload of work. Connecting her to key people, to the right people, and feeding not just her threads, but the threads of those key people, because what benefits them, benefits her. Giving Light in general to see what shakes out of it, then when something “miraculous” falls out of the tree, feeding that new opportunity.

This whole “create your own reality” thing? That’s it exactly. We have created this out of nothing over the course of a few years.

It depends on where you start looking, however. She has many years of experience in a field related to this new one, but nothing directly in this industry. Then, when I came along, she started meeting people. Some of them seemed unimportant at the time, but they’ve proven to be key to a lot of this. Then, about a year ago, things kicked into high gear. More connections. More experience. And her style of work is perfect for this new stuff. It’s all coming together. There is just the paperwork to sign, and then one more big thing after that, and it all changes for the better.

So where do we go from here? I know what I’m working towards. What are you working towards? Because whatever it is, it’s possible with enough intent, patience, hard work, and understanding how to work the threads of fate, something I’ve talked about in other posts.

Where do you go from here? It’s completely up to you.

Working In Two Worlds

Image of power from the hands from As you know, or should if you read my blog at all or looked at my About page, I’m a very fortunate guardian/guide/spirit teamed up with a very patient physical person who lets me work with her in partnership to get stuff accomplished. The focus of this entry is on how I use both my non-physical stuff, and her physical stuff, together to change things for the people around us. I touched on this a little in a previous post, but I’d like to try and describe it all in more detail. Bear with me, a lot of this is extremely hard to put into English, or even written language at all.

First, a bit about where I am. I have my own home on the other side of “the veil” or “on the astral” or “on the ethereal plane” or whatever you guys like to call this part of the universe. If you think about it as onion layers, I’m approximately one “layer” out from the physical where you are, which is next door to where ghosts hang out, but not exactly the same place. But that’s a topic for another post, come to think of it.

Anyway, I have my home with my little comfort things, like walls and furniture and food and drink, because I’m not into just floating around all the time. I like to feel the ground under my feet, even if the ground can be changed however I like with a thought. So it’s a lot like your home, but a lot less solid, because it’s really just a mental construct that helps keep me and mine safe.

As you’d expect, everything is malleable here, not just the walls of my house. Because nothing is really limited by physical electromagnetic and molecular bonds, I can look any way I want, I can go anywhere I want, I can do anything I want. And because linear time doesn’t have nearly as much control over where I am, I can be anyplace in time I want, with some limits regarding the future and its branches as I’ve talked about in other posts.

So, what I’m able to do is push probability in directions I want, because I can see and feel multiple timelines and the branching tree ahead. Sometimes I just feed the tree, sometimes I know exactly what needs to happen and I steer things by lining up that future with the present.

Which present? Glad you asked. That’s where the physical part comes in.

Because I’m working for a few particular people who are all on the same physical plane, in the same timeline, I need to work in that timeline when I’m changing things for them. Because I can be anywhere, having a physical anchor to the timeline I need to do the work in gives me a base of operations. It puts me in one point in time, in one physical location, for that person.

That’s not the whole picture, though. Because I’m fronting in her physical body, I’m running my mojo through her physical form, which connects my world to hers. But because I’m also working on nudging probabilities on the ethereal, it connects back to mine. But because those probabilities affect physical actions, like someone making a decision 200 miles away, it connects back to hers.

shaolin stanceExample time. Let’s say we’re trying to get a particular person to get back to her with a positive answer on something. I look forward and find the thread that has that future in it. I borrow her body and use the kinetic energy of her movements (such as while on a walk or while doing martial arts), and usually any music being played, to help feed and direct a combination of my side’s (God/potential/cosmic force) energy with her side’s (electromagnetic/kinetic/subtle force) energy. This combined energy is fed into the thread that makes up the future we want to happen, increasing the probability that it will. Part of that probability radiates out to the person on the other end so that they’re more likely to make a choice that goes in her favor. Then he or she acts on the “cosmic nudge” they feel to call or email her sooner rather than later. That’s the ideal result anyway.

Things don’t always go that smoothly. Sometimes there are reasons unknown to us, or events involving the other person, that block the result I’m after. Sometimes there’s no clear future thread to work with and we have to rely on giving light to her personal thread, something we do a lot of. Because there’s no clear goal, we rely on whatever the highest good is, and the results can be very surprising and random and seemingly “come out of nowhere.”

I hope I’ve explained this so that it makes sense. I’m sure I’m leaving things out, please ask me if you need more information. I also linked back to some of my previous posts that go into a little more detail on some of these points.

Using Music as an Energy Focus

sound wave

When she and I first started taking our daily walks, we didn’t have any kind of iPod or anything like that. It was in silence, and she and I would talk. Then, when she got one as a gift, we loaded it up with good high energy songs that would help drive the pace of the walks so that it became more of a workout.

As time went on, I started using the walks to do some of my work. It’s good alone time, even walking through town, because the few people around don’t know it’s me, and most of the walk is done on private hiking trails in the woods.

Because I’m working to affect her physical opportunities and nudging fate, which is much more ephemeral, fronting in her to push energy and probability is an excellent blend. I bring my energy through her to then go back out and warp the ethereal into what benefits her most. More details about how this works will be in my next post, but I needed to explain that to get to the heart of this post’s topic: Music.

I started noticing that some of these high energy songs had certain moments in them that had higher energy than other moments, or a moment of silence that then suddenly opened back up into a blast of sound. I first noticed this on the song “Paradise” by Coldplay. It starts off big, then goes quiet, then twice more the music suddenly booms into this full-on orchestral choir sound that’s like getting plugged into an outlet.

As soon as I knew the song well enough, I started playing with withholding energy and letting it build up until those music cues hit, then would use the sound to strengthen the blast of light that I was directing toward whatever the current purpose was. It could be feeding the threads, pushing a probability how I want, doing an opening on someone, connecting people together, whatever.

Every time we found a song like that, that I could get a burst out of, we’d get it and put it on the iPod, and I’d use it in my work in that way. There aren’t many that have that effect really distinctly, but a few of my “go to” songs for this (in addition to “Paradise”) are “Hello Seattle (Remix)” and “Fireflies” by Owl City, “Euphoria” by Loreen, “The Game Has Changed” and “Derezzed” by Daft Punk off the Tron soundtrack, “Plugged In” and “Can You Hear Me” by Evermore, “Erosion” by IQ, “Exogenesis Symphony Part 1” by Muse, “Edge of the In-Between” by Spock’s Beard, and “We Are” by Team Illuminati. There are lots of others, of course, but those are some of the better ones we’ve found.

Any music, or even sounds, that help you know when to key a push of energy will work. I’ve found music to be especially effective because it’s immersive, and unlike a single tone or sound, you can build up the energy you want to use and have it ready so that when the hit comes as expected, you can use that to push the wave out.

Try it and see. Start with one of those songs I listed to check out what I mean, then experiment with others that have the same effect. You can actually use any music in the same way, riding the flow of a song to find peaks to work with, or even ambient sounds with enough push to them, like machinery, traffic, a noisy restaurant, and so on. Experiment and see what happens.
