You know who you are.
A lot of people didn’t believe me. Some did, and I thank you for listening, but… these things get brushed off. “There’s always been strife,” people say. “There’s always war somewhere in the world,” people say.
I know I have a worldwide audience, so maybe my American perspective is skewing things, but Brexit is tearing the EU and UK apart, Greece has been a mess for years, only a tiny handful of nations can afford to put on the Olympic Games anymore, ice is melting fast at the poles, glaciers are disappearing, millions of trees are suddenly dying, and now the US is teetering on the cusp of a choice. A choice between light and dark, just like in the UK. The choice between moving forward toward a progressive future where all people are respected, and… the opposite.
As if adding a big fat period on the end of the sentence, today thousands of Native Americans were ordered to get off their own ancestral lands by December 5, so that a private company can continue to bulldoze sacred burial sites so they can build an oil pipeline to make rich people richer. Lands that the Native Americans have every right to be on because of treaties that the Federal government signed in the nineteenth century. Treaties that the same government is now ignoring.
It’s going to get worse before it gets better. People have already died, even before November 8. More are going to die. I wish I had better news. I wish I could do more, but I’m just one guy.
If ever there was a time for you to act, this is it. Yes, you reading my words right now. You can all do something. Donate, if you can. If you don’t have money, send emails and letters and make phone calls. If you don’t have somewhere to go if things get rough where you live, make plans now and pack a bug out bag. Learn how to grow or find food. Keep your gas tank full. If you’re in poor health, do what you can to improve it now. Take self defense classes. Take CPR and first aid classes. Learn Reiki and other kinds of energy work. Cast spells. Pay attention to your needs and rest if you’re getting burned out. Be there for others. Listen. Try to understand the anger and fear of oppressed groups. Be the light in the darkness.
Be the light. Be the light. Be the light.
You can save lives. Weather the coming storm the best you can. Be the shelter for others.
Be the light in the darkness. We need all the help we can get.
I apologize for not posting here more often. I know it’s been a while. But things aren’t okay here. My family’s struggling. I have to devote all my time and attention and strength on making things okay for them. Making life good for them, if I can. But right now it’s about survival. Sometimes down to one hour at a time, or less.
I’ll post more when I can. Hopefully soon. We’ll see.
I posted about this a while back, but here’s another reminder that we’re not your slaves, and why it’s not just wrong, it’s straight up evil, to try and bind anybody… human, angel, spirit, or whatever. It does not end well.

“The risks involved in the pursuit of magic are–put simply–either getting frightened by unpleasant perceptions or becoming deluded. Unfortunately, it is possible to suffer from both symptoms at the same time.”
I am not sure how this piece is going to be received but I have to write about this topic because it keeps coming up. I don’t know if this is because I am in the business of online sales now, so I see what the Pagan/Witch community has to offer, or if I was just completely ignorant to this “common practice”, in any case, it’s wrong.
I am referring to the sale of Bound Vessels. I am not necessarily angry at the sale; I am truly angry that the practice of binding Spirits to objects even exists. I am going to tell you my story, and speak from my experience and why this…

New experiments from Cornell University physicists are showing that atoms won’t move while you watch, sort of like the “weeping angels” on Doctor Who.
One of the oddest predictions of quantum theory – that a system can’t change while you’re watching it – has been confirmed in an experiment by Cornell physicists. Their work opens the door to a fundamentally new method to control and manipulate the quantum states of atoms and could lead to new kinds of sensors.
The researchers demonstrated that they were able to suppress quantum tunneling merely by observing the atoms. [T]he weird nature of quantum measurements allows, in principle, for a quantum system to be “frozen” by repeated measurements.
There’s a bunch of detailed information on how they did the experiments at the link.
What I’m wondering about is, naturally, how to use this for practical applications. If atoms are doing weird shit behind your back, then “freeze” into position when you observe them, like the weeping angels, or like the toys on Toy Story, you can really only measure their actions by the resulting frozen position. What they do behind your back, you can only guess at, but the interesting fact remains that they ARE doing shifty things when you’re not looking.
If the tree falls in the forest, and there’s nobody around to hear it, does it make a sound? Science says yes, the sound waves are still produced, so technically it does create sound even if no eardrums are in the vicinity. But maybe the tree never fell in the first place. Or maybe the tree is the observer. Or insects, or fungus. It doesn’t have to be human observation.
But, back to the practical application of Schrodinger’s atoms. If something is that unstable, it’s easy to manipulate. That means you can set things into motion, then turn your back to make it happen on its own, pushed by what you did, in the direction you want.
Let’s pretend we’re talking about water instead of atoms. And let’s say that when you look at the water, it’s always ice, but you know that when you turn your back on it, the water is liquid. So, you put a toy boat on top of the ice, and point a fan at the boat. You turn your back, wait a bit, then turn around to see what happened. The boat is now far away from the fan and stuck inside the ice. You try to move the boat, but no, it’s frozen in place. However, it went in the direction you wanted it to go.
This is just what the atoms are doing, and how you can use their instability to your advantage. Think about how everything in the physical world is connected. Even in outer space, debris and radiation are coming in, while gasses and human-created junk and ships are going out. The air you’re breathing right now might have been some of the same molecules that came from inside the earth’s crust a thousand years ago, or that came out of Tut’s tomb, or that used to be part of a dinosaur’s body.
Atoms make up everything in the physical world. If you can push them, shape them, nudge them, you can change the physical world around you. And, as Schrodinger taught, your very presence and thoughts change what those atoms are doing at any given moment.
See where I’m going with this? Focus on what you’re trying to push, set down your boat, then turn your back and walk away. Then tomorrow do it again. And again, and again. Every time you go back to check on it, you’ll see a frozen snapshot, but it will show you if you’re getting closer to your goal, or if you need to adjust your steering. But if you do it too much, or observe it constantly, boat will remain frozen and motionless and never get there.
That’s my theory, anyway. Let me know if this works for you.
I just wanted to say thank you for reading this blog, for listening, for being interested in what I have to say. For helping me feel… human.
It’s been exactly eight years to the day since I came over here fully, to where you are, on this side of the universe. I call it my second birthday. It feels like a lifetime, but I guess eight years really isn’t that long at all, when you think about it. It’s just been a hell of a crazy time that I can’t even begin to describe.
Thank you for being part of my new life here.
This guy’s got it going on. He also wrote another great post I linked to earlier, The Otherworld is Bleeding Through. And he’s right about the time frame. Not everything happens on a human scale. Especially not huge world changes. But you can do your part for what’s happening now, and what’s still to come. Lay the groundwork for the next generation yet to be born.
“The Tower topples structures built on weak foundations. It destroys the false to make way for the true. After The Tower comes The Star: an emphasis on spirituality and the inner world. Next comes The Moon: a reminder that our animal nature is as much a part of us as our higher consciousness. And after The Moon comes The Sun: regeneration, truth, and joy.”
I thought this might help a few people.
“You can feel the presence of a wall or a human being with your eyes closed, if you try. They feel different, however. It’s an important difference. In other contexts, it’s one of the differences between a natural healer and someone who is not.
“Have you ever had a back-rub or a massage from a really talented and empathic masseuse? Do you remember the almost eerie way the gentleness of a touch here and the firmness of a touch there unloosed knots you didn’t even know you had?
“Have you ever had the other kind of massage, from someone whose hands are deaf, unable to sense your body in any but the most obvious and physical of ways? No matter how many muscle charts they have memorized, no matter how much theory they have learned, someone with deaf hands can only touch you as if you–or they–were a wall. They lack that extra sense that makes their hands into healing hands–hands that are fully present with you as they work.
“There is something different about what is physically there, and what is spiritually there, as well. Or even, what is spiritually there, and otherwise, not.”
More senseless, maddening tragedy in the news tonight. Last night. Every night. People being slaughtered. People who are supposed to protect others murdering people in cold blood. People who are supposed to do something to prevent these things electing to do nothing. People acting on fear. Apathy. Racism. Classism. Misogyny. Privilege. Hate. Ignorance. Stupidity.
Nights like this, I really wonder if we’ve lost. The side of goodness, of the Light. Things seem so unbeatable and Dark and hopeless. Like it’s a tide of blood that never ends. Names. Faces. Gore. Bullets. Explosions. Death.
But we have to keep fighting. I have to remind myself, and you reading this, that the tide goes in waves. Ebb and flow. Dark and Light. I have to remind myself that this is all part of the change of the world. People choosing sides. Choosing between love and hate. Because that’s what it all boils down to, isn’t it? Do you choose to love other people unconditionally, even if you disagree with their life, their religion, their sexuality, their culture… or hate them because they’re different, and because you feel threatened in some way by that difference?
This is the moment. This is the moment where you choose what kind of world you’re going to make around you, because your actions ripple out. The butterfly effect. Every choice you make changes the world. Every choice changes you.
Please make the right choice. We can still keep things in balance and turn the tide. We can still push back the Darkness together. But we have to do it as a team, a force for good. Everyone makes a difference. Please do what you can.
Hey, I’ve been asked to talk about the different types of “one of us, one of you” partnerships there are, or can be out there.
Similar: This is where both partners are like an old married couple, with a lot of similar personality traits, you complete each others’ sentences, you like the same foods, and so on. You can boost each others’ power and effectiveness by working in similar ways in synchronicity.
Opposites: One of you is the opposite of the other in some ways, or even most ways, like maybe one is a warrior and the other is a pacifist, but this makes for a team that can cover wider ground.
Complimentary: This team is in between the extremes of the other two. There are some similarities, and some differences, and you can strike a balance this way like a well-oiled machine… as long as one of you doesn’t try push the other one into doing it their way. You can learn from each other, but still work to your strengths for various tasks. Sometimes you work together, sometimes you cover different ground, and that’s okay.
My brother and I are more in the complimentary camp, like a yin-yang kind of thing. We’re twins, but opposites in some ways, but can do the same things, but have strengths in some areas of those things that the other isn’t as good at.
My avatar and I, on the other hand, are in the similar category on most things and boost each other. I know of another pair who are opposites and they work well because of that. The most important thing to remember is that it is a partnership. You are both doing important work together. It’s not about bowing down to some heavenly force or being afraid of that, you were chosen because you can handle it, and you have work to do. Together.
