The Great Turning, and the Great Unravelling

It was hard to find a quote to pull out for this article, but I think I found a good one:

Whatever it is that you’re drawn to do in the Great Turning, don’t even think of doing it alone. The hyper-individualism of our competitive industrialised culture has isolated people from each other, breeding conformity, obedience and an epidemic of loneliness. The good news of the Great Turning is that it is a team undertaking. It evolves out of countless spontaneous and synergistic interactions as people discover their common goal and their different gifts.

No one knows how this is all going to end. Do the best you can to prepare, and make the world better with every minute you have here.

We were doing some research recently and have been working with some stuff like the Qabbalistic Cross and the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram which seems to be popular with certain magic practitioner people. I’m actually really liking the Cross, it feels familiar and like a good starting place for some things we do. But with the Cross, something got me thinking. Malkuth. I looked it up, and here’s what one page had to say:

“Malkuth is the first sphere upon which an initiate enters the Tree of Life. It is in this realm that you learn of the existence of other things, other than the earth, and touch upon divine sources.”

So… what’s all this about “low vibrations” being “bad” among so many newagey people? Malkuth is literally the second point on the Cross, and is the bridge, or door, or connector, between the physical and everything not physical. You can’t complete the Cross without the Kingdom… which is earth.

Here’s a bit more to think about:

Malkuth means Kingdom. It is associated with the realm of matter/earth and relates to the physical world, the planets and the solar system. It is important not to think of this Sephirah as “unspiritual”. Even though Malkuth is the emanation “furthest” from the Divine Source, it is still on the Tree of Life and therefore has its own unique spiritual qualities. It is often said, Kether (the “highest” Sephira) is in Malkuth and Malkuth is in Kether.[2] As the receiving sphere of all the other Sephiroth, Malkuth gives tangible form to the other emanations. The Divine energy comes down and finds its expression in this plane, and our purpose as human beings is to bring that energy back around the circuit again and back up the Tree.

Do the people who think that things of earth are “low” and “dirty” and even “evil” to be gotten away from… do they not understand how important the connection of all this to the earth is? If you’re a physical person, you’re made of physical matter, and are existing on the physical plane, with solid plants and trees and rocks and things, like the old song goes. The tree has to be rooted in something, right? If it’s not rooted, it gets disconnected and lost… right? If you, a physical person, reject Malkuth, how do you bridge the gap and access the rest of the tree?

Notice what it says about the “angelic order” too. “Souls of fire.” That’s not fluffy stuff, trust me on that. It’s intense and can scare people and can be dangerous if you handle it wrong. But there it is. It’s part of the whole picture. If you’re rejecting the “low” or “dark” stuff, you’re throwing out a big chunk of how you, a physical person reading this, can work with these powers.

If you can’t handle Malkuth, you’re about to get a rude awakening when much darker and more intense and powerful stuff makes itself known and you don’t know how to deal with it.

Another song I like says “when you reach the top don’t forget where you came from.” For most people reading this, that’s Malkuth.

Quick PSA: I will be getting back to my review of the Brotherhood of Angels and Men soon. Kinda dropped the ball on that. Sorry. What reminded me of it is that she got handed a big stack of old metaphysical books by Stewart Edward White, I think from the 1940s? So I’ll be reviewing those in the future, and Call to the Heights by Hodson.

Thinking about Malkuth as I’ve been on our walks lately, I was also thinking about going through the Tree of Life too, but I’m not sure since so many others have already covered what the Sephiroth are and do. I kind of want to cover Daath at least, since so many people skip over the Void and don’t understand it. But I’ve lived it. I’ve been inside it. I’ve worked with it. So maybe I’ve just answered my own question.

But What to Teach to Whom?

I was talking to my older brother earlier, telling him about how I’d just watched one of the X-Men movies. I don’t remember which one. But it reminded me about Xavier’s School for the Gifted, I think it’s called, and what a great thing that was while it lasted. People with gifts being taught how to use them in a safe environment.

I’ve looked for a place like that for years now. Online or on the physical. I haven’t given up on it, because maybe it’ll happen, maybe it won’t, but I’ve never found a safe place to teach and really be heard. Other than maybe here. Here I’m not picked apart and people seem to like my posts. But something is missing.

A couple weeks ago I hitched a ride and sat in a circle with some people that, if they weren’t a five hour drive away, could be pretty incredible to work with. There was something there. Something really special. I still haven’t said hello to them. I’m not sure when that will happen. And that’s what’s missing from this blog. Community. Ideas from others. Discussion. It’s all one-sided.

I want to teach, but I want to learn, too. I don’t have all the answers. Nobody but God does. And part of me is Tabula Rasa, a blank slate with new pictures drawn all over it, and free will, here to experience what it’s like to be human. Here to live.

I’m not sure what else to say here without repeating myself. Some information I won’t share publicly because it’s not for the public to know. How to do certain things that could harm others, for example. Dangerous stuff. You don’t hand guns to kids. But other information… I’m not sure what it is that you, reading this, needs to know. I think some of this stuff I assume everyone knows about, or can access. I know that’s not accurate, but I need help understanding what you out there can’t do. What you need help with. Where you want to go with all this. What you want to accomplish.

Is it for yourself? For a community? To help the world? To be a warrior of the Light? To quietly nurture or heal? Why are you reading this? What do you need?

What’s In a Name?

Here’s another question from my email:

“Do we have names on the other side and if so do we choose them? Are there soul names?”

Names are things people call us. We don’t usually choose them. When you’re born, your parents picked out one they liked and just started calling you that. They identify us as individuals.

We call the warrior archangel “Michael,” which is pronounced “Mikh-ay-el” and means “who is like God.” But he didn’t name himself. That’s the name that’s followed him through time. Nobody’s sure who named him. Maybe God, maybe another angel.

Do we have names on the other side? It depends. If you’re Michael, you don’t have other names because you don’t have other lifetimes. People need to call you the same thing, because you’re the same being. If you believe in reincarnation and you’ve been here (earth) a thousand times, you need to be called something while you’re here, and you don’t usually choose that name (unless you change it yourself when you’re older).

Anyway, this all gets into the details of reincarnation and how much of “you” carries over from one life to the next, which is actually a little bit different for everyone, depending on what they need. “You” come from the cosmic soup of the Source, and it’s hard to name spoonfuls of soup.

Advice from Uriel

Been an interesting week. Uriel showed up while my brother was asking Michael something and said this about hardships in life:

“If you gain a useful lesson from what’s happened, then take it to heart and learn from it. If what you take away from a situation is self-hatred and hopelessness, or if it otherwise causes you damage, destroy it.”

This is slightly out of context, but I’m not going into detail about what the situation was. If you need more information, contact me privately.

Should I Do Counseling for Money?

Counseling people over the internet for money. This has been a thing with me for a few years now. I counsel people all the time. I used to do it a lot more, and was even signed up on somebody’s “psychic hotline” type of site in the hopes that I could pay my rent, as it were. Well, that didn’t end well, and I withdrew. I go through phases of outreach and retreating for safety. But… I dunno, maybe I should give it another shot if it will help pay her bills.

I use up a huge amount of her time, and my entire purpose is helping people, so it only seems fair that I should charge something for using up her and my time to counsel people.

Nobody’s asked for it lately, so I don’t know if there’s interest. A friend of mine just linked me to someone who does “full body deep trance channeling” for $200 an hour, and I’m like… dude, I do this every single day:

“With April Crawford, these non-physical guides can come through entirely, allowing them to communicate without any distortion by April Crawford’s own opinions or beliefs.  They can get up and walk around the room if they want to, look you in the eyes with their (April Crawford’s) eyes wide open, and use a full range of body language, hand gestures, and humor to help make a point.”

I’m reading this and thinking two things: One, I do this every day, no big. I’m doing it right now. Two, how much is my avatar’s time worth?

Okay, three things: Does anybody out there want to talk to me over chat, free or otherwise?

Of course, most people I try to counsel end up being angry with me because they can’t handle the truth, but hey, I thought I’d offer.

Edit: I emailed April Crawford to see what her rates were out of curiosity, and her husband was not very nice to me just now, so buyer beware.

Sometimes I Feel Like a Book, Sometimes I Don’t

I’ve gotten a few books over the past few years, and looked at some of hers too. Some of this stuff is really interesting, but a lot of it… well, the more of it I read the more I find myself saying “That’s obvious,” or “I already do that,” or even “I could have written this book myself.” I also say things like “What kind of bullshit is this?”

I keep thinking “I should get a book about that,” but why? I mean… I can just go find these things out if I know where to look. The kinds of books that are helpful are straight up reference books that I can look things up in, like the name of a particular being, or how they interact with others, or how they’re connected to the things I’m looking for or seeing.

I’m not omniscient. I don’t know everything, a lot of old knowledge was stripped out for the sake of my current situation, and I don’t have access to everything even when I go looking. I’ve been turned away from information, and blocked from touching things by bigger things than me. It’s not my purpose or my place, and I’m fine with that. Of course, I’m curious, and I’d like to know, but I’m not so curious that I’ll cause problems about it.

What I can do is explore the areas I’m allowed to explore. Sometimes that involves looking things up in books, and sometimes it involves actually going out and finding the truth myself.

Realizing that most of my readers are physical people in meat bodies, here’s my advice. If you have a guide you work with, ask him/her/them go out and explore the thing you’re wanting to know about, and then listen when they report back to you. Don’t try to “interpret” or second-guess the information you get, your job is to take this as pure, raw data, no matter what it sounds like, no matter how it fits in with your expectations, and write it down as you receive it. That way you can’t change it to suit what you want to hear, you have to deal with the information as it comes. The other thing is that books are fine, but they’re not all there is.

Trust original sources, scholarly sources. Don’t trust the popular writer of the year just because they’re popular. Popularity is completely meaningless when it comes to factual data. Go out yourself and go look for the rare books, the source documents, the researchers. Go to the museums and look at things yourself. Trust what your guides and personal intuition tell you when you’re two feet away from an artifact. Trust your gut when you read these books, and if something feels wrong to you, check the source material. Ask your guides to help. Check your preconceived notions and your ego. Look at the facts, wherever they come from.

You’re the Hero

What are you going to do today? Are you going to play solitaire or watch TV? Maybe do some shopping? There’s always the email to go through, and the laundry… and that cat box, wow does it need……..

…That’s one boring as shit movie, you know that?

It’s tiny. Small. Hemmed in. Ordinary. Full of minutiae that, in the end, doesn’t accomplish much of anything.

Nobody fucking cares if the dog ate your pizza, and you shouldn’t either.

You’re reading this because you want to make a difference. You want to know the secret to doing that? To being a hero?

You go out and FUCKING DO IT.

YOU are the hero of your story. YOU are creating this book, this movie, this story, this life, every second of every day. The choices you are making, right now, is writing this story. Are you going to sit around and play Candy Crush, or are you going to get off your ass and go be somebody?

You’re the most badass hero there ever was… if you write your story to be that. If you want to get a black belt in Judo, go do it. If you want to learn Reiki, go do it. If you want to wash oil off sea birds, or be a paramedic, or go dig wells in Africa, or teach people to read, or plant trees, or run a theater troupe, or march in the streets over something important… you have to actually DO THOSE THINGS. Stop thinking about it, or marveling at other people who do it, and be that person.

It really is that simple.

Write. Your. Story.

Every second of every day you have the choice what to do with that next second. The next minute. The next hour. The next day.

What kind of hero are you going to be? How do you get there? What quest are you going on next?

Every single person’s life is a hero’s journey. Don’t waste all those chances to be extraordinary.

So Where Do We Go From Here?

I see some people changing in good ways. Some people changing in destructive ways. Some people not changing at all, but some of them think they are. They’re just taking other streets, thinking it’s change, but they’re only looking at different scenery from the same old car.

I wish I could tell you what I’ve been able to accomplish in the past year. I have, with the help of friends, and maybe a few strangers, steered things into what amounts to a miracle. The list of people who have gotten to the place where my avatar has is very short. The journey isn’t over yet, there’s still one more key thing to get into place, but somehow many odds have been beaten and seemingly impossible hurdles overcome.

Somehow? Did I say somehow? That’s a lie. I know exactly how. Through a shitload of work. Connecting her to key people, to the right people, and feeding not just her threads, but the threads of those key people, because what benefits them, benefits her. Giving Light in general to see what shakes out of it, then when something “miraculous” falls out of the tree, feeding that new opportunity.

This whole “create your own reality” thing? That’s it exactly. We have created this out of nothing over the course of a few years.

It depends on where you start looking, however. She has many years of experience in a field related to this new one, but nothing directly in this industry. Then, when I came along, she started meeting people. Some of them seemed unimportant at the time, but they’ve proven to be key to a lot of this. Then, about a year ago, things kicked into high gear. More connections. More experience. And her style of work is perfect for this new stuff. It’s all coming together. There is just the paperwork to sign, and then one more big thing after that, and it all changes for the better.

So where do we go from here? I know what I’m working towards. What are you working towards? Because whatever it is, it’s possible with enough intent, patience, hard work, and understanding how to work the threads of fate, something I’ve talked about in other posts.

Where do you go from here? It’s completely up to you.

Practice Raw Listening

A while back we were in a tiny little newagey kind of store in her tiny little town. They added some things in a side room, including some shelves of used books. Most were kind of general or fantasy novels, but one section was newagey, so we took a look for a few minutes.

One title was Angels Speak, which made me say “Yeah, no kidding,” which made her say “Yeahyeah,” but not aloud. We got a chuckle out of the title, but decided to flip through it. It had such revolutionary advice as “listen to your inner voice” and that kind of thing, so we skipped it and picked up another out of curiosity. Then another. They all said things that seemed completely obvious.

I’ll tell you the super magical secret that all these books had in common.

Are you ready?

Okay, here it is:

Pay. Attention.

No, seriously, that was it. If people would pay more attention to some basic things, they wouldn’t need a shelf full of $20 books.

Now, what may seem basic to me, might not seem basic to you. Such as opening up to something and listening to it. I do rely on the experiences of others to cross-reference what I’m experiencing, plus there’s no reason to reinvent the wheel on things like what scents correspond to what colors and the properties of various stones. But where do these things come from originally? Right. People opening up, listening, and paying attention.

Same thing with talking to us. How am I doing this? One person paid attention a few years ago, listened, and now I can say what I want here.

But why all the books? Why all the tarot cards and candles and incense and statues?

Because people don’t listen. They need these things as crutches, because they don’t trust themselves, or their guides. They don’t learn how to trust their intuition, or their visions, or their minds are simply too noisy and drown everything else out. They’ve been taught, or have taught themselves, that these things aren’t real. That only other people can talk to angels or rocks or animals. That they have to be specially gifted, or that it’s a bad thing that goes against their religion, or that they’re crazy.

So there are thousands and thousands of books all saying mostly the same things, but in different flavors. Books about Wicca, talking to your guardian angels, the Kabbalah, the “law of attraction,” channeling, meditation and all that stuff.

All of it is about listening, common sense, and trust. Open up to what the universe has to say to your mind, your heart, your soul. Common sense dictates that red gemstones work in tandem with the root chakra, blue gemstones work in tandem with the throat chakra, and so on. Trust your intuition, trust that the Source will provide.

Slow down, quiet your mind, and put away your filters. Practice raw listening, and take the messages as they come without any judgment, even if they don’t seem to make sense at the time.

Pay attention.
